There are a few basic ways to get free patterns. First, I have a page of
free patterns which will be added to over time.
You can also win/earn a free pattern one of the following ways:
- If you find a knitting error in any of my patterns, your next pattern order will be free. Write me if you catch an error and I'll send you instructions for how to get your free pattern.
- Have your knitting selected as a Featured Picture: Send me a picture of your finished product knit from one of my patterns, to be placed the Gallery of Completed Projects. From these pictures I will occasionally select an image to feature on the pattern sales page. Selected pictures must be good quality (good lighting, good angle, etc) and will generally be unique in some way. For example, a Featured Picture may use a very different yarn from the one I used, may adapt the pattern in some way, etc. In other words, it is a small change that could help other knitters think of new ways to use the pattern. I will contact you if your picture is chosen to be featured.
- From time to time, I may have contests. They will be described here, and on the Yahoo Sock Yarn Sales group.
