Hartshorn Cable Socks were designed to show off the colors of my new favorite yarn, Lana Grossa Mega Boots Stretch. I'm sure they'd work with other yarns, particularly any yarn with large bands of gradually changing colors, or also with plain colored yarns. They are very stretchy, and should fit a variety of women's medium feet as written. This is an intermediate level pattern; experience with cabled designs is preferred. These socks are elegant, comfortable, and delightfully colorful.
Finished size: US women's medium, foot length 9 inches (instructions included for longer and shorter feet)
Gauge: 10 st/inch in stockinette on 2mm DPN's
Materials needed:
- 100 grams (1 ball) Lana Grossa Mega Boots Stretch yarn, or other sock weight yarn.
- 5 - 2mm (US0) double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gage.
- Narrow tapestry needle for finishing.
- Cable needle if desired (pattern uses 5th DPN as cable needle)
