Artful cables swirl and dance with all the curves and colors of a Gothic cathedral's stained glass window. The front cable evokes archways and peaked windows, while the side cable provides a contrast of grillwork that perfectly aligns with the curves of the first cable. These highly textured socks are set on a field of plain reverse stockinette for excellent stitch definition even in colorful yarns as well as extreme smooth comfort on your feet inside the socks. Indulge your love of line and color with a truly elegant and unique pair of socks! As these socks require cable stitches in most rows, they are best suited for an intermediate to advanced knitter who is familiar with cabling and following detailed patterns. Charts and written instructions provided. The sock is constructed top down, with a short row heel and grafted toe.
Gauge: 9 SPI in stockinette, aprx 10 SPI in cable design
Sizes (circumference of sock):
- Small - 6.8 inches
- Medium - 8 inches
- Large - 9.2 inches
Yarn: Aprx 100 grams fingering weight yarn.
Shown in Cascade Heritage Paints, 437 yds to 100 grams,
755 superwash merino, 25% nylon, color 9926 (Cherry Berry)
Needles: Set of 5 US 1 (2.25mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
