Butterfly Lattice Scarf

This scarf was designed as a teaching sampler, to include as many lace stitches as possible in a beautiful piece, with larger needles and yarn. It is fully double sided, and includes plain stitches, twist stitches, increases and both knitted and purled decreases. It is intended for knitters who have tried some simple lace and would like to advance their skills. Pattern includes written instructions and charted designs.
Materials:
- 1-2 balls (4 ounces each) Philosopher's wool or similar worsted weight yarn. 1 ball is enough for an aggressively blocked scarf 8 inches wide by 51 inches long.
- Size 7 knitting needles or size needed for desired gauge.
